Ingredients
Scale
Beef Filling
- 1 pound Ground Beef (lean is best)
- 1 teaspoon Garlic Powder
- 1 teaspoon Onion Powder
- 1 teaspoon Salt (to taste)
- 1 teaspoon Black Pepper (freshly ground preferable)
Cheese
- 1 cup Cheddar Cheese (cubed, preferably sharp)
Dough & Toppings
- 2 cans Refrigerated Biscuit Dough
- 4 tablespoons Unsalted Butter (melted)
- 2 cloves Garlic (minced) (fresh recommended)
- 1/4 cup Grated Parmesan Cheese (omit for dairy-free)
- 2 tablespoons Fresh Parsley (chopped) (or substitute with chives or basil)
- 1 tablespoon Sesame Seeds (optional)
Instructions
- Preparation: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper to ensure easy cleanup and prevent sticking.
- Cook the Beef: In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef for 6-8 minutes until it’s browned and no longer pink. Drain off excess grease to keep the filling juicy but not greasy.
- Season the Meat: Stir in garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and freshly ground black pepper to the cooked beef. Let the mixture cool slightly so it’s easier to handle.
- Prepare Dough: Open the refrigerated biscuit dough and flatten each biscuit round into a 4-inch diameter circle — this will be your wrapper.
- Assemble Bombs: Place a spoonful of the seasoned beef mixture and a cube of sharp cheddar cheese in the center of each flattened dough circle. Fold the dough over and seal tightly to encase the filling.
- Add Garlic Butter Topping: In a small bowl, mix the melted butter with the minced garlic. Brush this flavorful garlic butter over the tops of each stuffed dough ball for extra richness and aroma.
- Garnish: Sprinkle grated Parmesan cheese, fresh chopped parsley, and optional sesame seeds over the buttered tops for a delicious finishing touch and a beautiful presentation.
- Bake: Place the assembled bombs on the prepared baking sheet and bake in the preheated oven for 15-18 minutes. They are done when the biscuit dough is golden brown and puffed up.
- Serve: Allow the cheeseburger bombs to cool a few minutes before serving warm. They’re perfect on their own or paired with your favorite dipping sauces for game night fun!
Notes
- You can swap fresh parsley with chives or basil for a different herbal note.
- To make these dairy-free, omit the Parmesan cheese and use a vegan cheddar alternative.
- Make sure to seal the dough tightly to prevent filling from leaking during baking.
- These cheeseburger bombs can be made ahead and reheated in the oven for a few minutes before serving.
- Serve warm with ketchup, mustard, or your favorite dipping sauces for best flavor.
