Vinaigrette Ingredients
- ½ cup olive oil (or avocado oil)
- 1 tsp. lemon zest
- ¼ cup fresh lemon juice
- 2 Tbsp. honey (or agave nectar)
- 1 tsp. Dijon mustard (or yellow mustard)
- 1 clove garlic, crushed
- 2 tsp. thyme, finely chopped
- ¼ tsp. salt
Instructions
- Combine Ingredients: Add all ingredients to a high-speed blender or food processor and blend for 20-30 seconds until the mixture is smooth and emulsified.
- Alternative Mixing Method: If you don’t have a blender, whisk the ingredients together in a bowl or place them in a mason jar and shake vigorously until fully incorporated.
- Storage: Pour the lemon vinaigrette into an airtight container or jar and store it in the refrigerator for up to 1 week. Shake well before each use. Enjoy on salads or as a marinade!
Notes
- Use fresh lemon juice for the brightest flavor.
- Adjust sweetness by adding more or less honey or agave nectar.
- Substitute thyme with other fresh herbs like basil or oregano for a different herbaceous note.
- The dressing may thicken when chilled; simply bring it to room temperature or whisk before serving.
- Can be made vegan by using agave nectar instead of honey.
