Description

A bright and zesty Lemon Vinaigrette Dressing made with fresh lemon juice, olive oil, honey, and herbs, perfect for salads and as a versatile marinade. This tangy dressing combines the sweetness of honey with the freshness of thyme and garlic for a flavorful, easy-to-make condiment.

Ingredients

Scale

Vinaigrette Ingredients

  • ½ cup olive oil (or avocado oil)
  • 1 tsp. lemon zest
  • ¼ cup fresh lemon juice
  • 2 Tbsp. honey (or agave nectar)
  • 1 tsp. Dijon mustard (or yellow mustard)
  • 1 clove garlic, crushed
  • 2 tsp. thyme, finely chopped
  • ¼ tsp. salt

Instructions

  1. Combine Ingredients: Add all ingredients to a high-speed blender or food processor and blend for 20-30 seconds until the mixture is smooth and emulsified.
  2. Alternative Mixing Method: If you don’t have a blender, whisk the ingredients together in a bowl or place them in a mason jar and shake vigorously until fully incorporated.
  3. Storage: Pour the lemon vinaigrette into an airtight container or jar and store it in the refrigerator for up to 1 week. Shake well before each use. Enjoy on salads or as a marinade!

Notes

  • Use fresh lemon juice for the brightest flavor.
  • Adjust sweetness by adding more or less honey or agave nectar.
  • Substitute thyme with other fresh herbs like basil or oregano for a different herbaceous note.
  • The dressing may thicken when chilled; simply bring it to room temperature or whisk before serving.
  • Can be made vegan by using agave nectar instead of honey.
