Description

Delightful Mini S’mores Pies combine a rich brownie base baked inside individual graham cracker crusts, topped with gooey mini marshmallows and melty chocolate chips. This easy-to-make dessert is perfect for sharing and offers all the nostalgic flavors of classic s’mores in a convenient pie form.

Ingredients

Scale

Brownie Base

  • 1 package brownie mix
  • Ingredients required on brownie mix package (usually eggs, oil, and water)

Pie Assembly

  • 8 mini graham cracker crusts
  • 1 cup mini marshmallows
  • 3/4 cup chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven according to the temperature specified in the brownie mix instructions, typically around 350°F (175°C).
  2. Prepare Brownie Batter: In a mixing bowl, prepare the brownie batter by following the package directions, usually involving combining the mix with eggs, oil, and water until smooth.
  3. Fill Crusts: Spoon the prepared brownie batter into each mini graham cracker crust, filling them but leaving some space to allow the batter to rise during baking.
  4. Bake Brownies: Place the filled crusts on a baking sheet and bake as directed on the brownie mix box, until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean, generally about 15-20 minutes.
  5. Add Toppings: Immediately after baking, sprinkle each mini pie evenly with mini marshmallows and chocolate chips.
  6. Melt Toppings: Return the pies to the oven for 1-2 minutes at the same temperature until the marshmallows are slightly melted and the chocolate chips begin to soften.
  7. Cool and Serve: Remove the pies from the oven and allow them to cool slightly to set before serving, ensuring the topping is warm but stable.

Notes

  • If mini graham cracker crusts are unavailable, you can use regular graham cracker crusts cut into smaller sections or make your own mini crusts using crushed graham crackers and butter.
  • For a richer chocolate flavor, use semi-sweet or dark chocolate chips as desired.
  • Watch the pies carefully during the final melting step to prevent marshmallows from burning.
  • These mini pies are best served warm for gooey marshmallow texture but can also be enjoyed at room temperature.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 days; marshmallows tend to harden after cooling.
